Nice post! Thank you.

When everyone else is complaining about the nights drawing in I'm busy looking forward to how beautiful everything looks in the city when it's all lit up for Christmas. I feel doubly blessed when it's raining too as the lights positively sparkle in their pavement reflections.

Is it nature? No, not really. Is it a gift from the universe just for me? Hell, yes! And for you if you can see it and rejoice in the beauty too.

Thank you, Dreamer37

I don't think it matters where the gift comes from - so long as you appreciate it - as you clearly do. There's an awful lot of beauty in our cities and as you point out so well, darkness can reveal its own gifts.

Excellent post. Last night a badger ran across the road as I was driving home - it came from the direction of Kentucky Fried Chicken! It made me laugh and feel good, just as your post says. Blessings

So now we know why you never see a thin badger. They do love their fast food. Thank you Spratmackrel.

Thanks Andy...
I was searching the word....'well-being'...it reminded me of you and I called you to say 'hello'...
Finding your blog after our re-connection on the phone today....
What a great gift.....lightened up my already bright day....

And accepted gratefully.

Well, our talking was a gift for me too, Julie. And you raise an interesting point: these unlooked for gifts don't just brighten dull days - they can make the great days even better.
